Neda Taha is an interdisciplinary artist with a strong foundation in dance, theatre, and community engagement. Hailing from Western Sydney, Neda's artistic journey began with street hip-hop, earning her accolades as a member of the award-winning dance crew, The Pioneers. Since then, she has come to captivate audiences with her live performances at prestigious venues such as the Sydney Opera House and the international World Expo 2020 stage.
As an accomplished actor and deviser, Neda has contributed to notable theatrical productions, including the critically acclaimed and Helpmann-nominated PLAYLIST, presented by PYT Fairfield. Her theatre credits extends to works like Swimming Pool (Cementa19), R&J RMX - AI Omelia (Sydney Opera House), PIONEERS (PYT Fairfield, Sydney WorldPride, Art & About, Blacktown Arts Centre), Khair (خير): An Omen, A Message, A Blessing (PYT Fairfield) and Tahlila: Lullabies Under The Stars (Bukjeh, WOW Festival).
Neda is a respected member of PYT Fairfield, actively engaged in both their 2023 and 2024 Ensembles. Following her selection for the prestigious PYT Fairfield 2023 Company, she directed and co-wrote "Tuân's Party", a groundbreaking Australian play crafted and staged by the PYT Fairfield 2023 Company. Additionally, Neda serves as a senior tutor for their free after school drama program, "Pilots", where she imparts basic drama skills to high school-aged students.
On the screen, Neda has showcased her talent through captivating short films such as 'Playlist (2020)' directed by Maya Newell, 'The Whispering Glass (2023)' by Pelesasa Pictures, and as a featured dancer for the music video 'Ha'ele Ki Pilitania (2021)' by BLKB3RY, which has garnered over 3 million views on YouTube.
Beyond her artistic pursuits, Neda champions the vibrant Pacific Islander and Western Sydney arts communities as a creative producer and advocate for young people at community engagement program Funpark. Through her passion and dedication, Neda continues to leave an indelible mark between cultures, communities and disciplines.
